Privacy Policy for Tutti I Verbi
Last updated: September 19, 2026
Introduction
Welcome to Tutti I Verbi ("we", "our", or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our Italian verb conjugation learning app.
Tutti I Verbi has no user accounts or profiles. We do not ask for your name, email address or any other contact details, and we cannot identify you personally from the limited data described below.
Information We Collect
Information Stored Locally on Your Device
Tutti I Verbi stores your app preferences and settings locally on your device, such as:
- Selected tenses and verb categories for practice
- Language and theme preferences
- Quiz settings and difficulty levels
This data is stored using Android's SharedPreferences and never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to us or any third parties.
Information Collected by Third-Party Services
Our app uses the following third-party services that may collect information:
Google AdMob (Advertising)
We display advertisements through Google AdMob to support the free version of our app. AdMob may collect:
- Device identifiers (such as advertising ID)
- IP address
- General location data (country/region level)
- App usage data
- Device information (model, operating system)
This data is used to serve advertisements and measure ad performance.
Advertising Consent (Google User Messaging Platform)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app shows a consent message from Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) the first time you open it, and no ads are requested until you have made a choice. You can consent to or refuse personalised advertising and the use of your device's advertising identifier. Your choice is stored on your device by the UMP SDK.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time from Settings → Privacy options inside the app. (This entry is shown only in regions where a consent choice is required.)
For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use their services.
Firebase Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics by Google to understand how users interact with our app. This service may collect:
- App usage patterns (screens viewed, features used)
- Session duration and frequency
- Device information (model, operating system version)
- General location data (country level)
- An app-instance identifier
This information helps us improve the app experience. We do not use it to identify you personally.
For more information, see Firebase Privacy.
Firebase Authentication (Anonymous)
To protect our online features from abuse, the app silently signs in to Firebase Authentication with an anonymous account. This creates a random identifier for your app installation. It is not linked to your name, email address, Google account or any other personal information, and you never see a sign-in screen for it.
Firebase App Check and Remote Config
Firebase App Check (using Google Play Integrity) verifies that requests to our servers come from a genuine copy of the app on a genuine Android device. Firebase Remote Config lets us adjust app behaviour, such as how often ads appear, without an app update. Both services send basic device and app information to Google.
AI-Generated Example Sentences
When you ask for example sentences:
- The verb, tense, grammatical person, conjugated form and your app language are sent to our Firebase Cloud Function
- This information is forwarded to a third-party AI provider to generate the sentences. We currently use OpenAI; we may also use Google Gemini or Anthropic Claude
- Only this verb information is sent to the AI provider. No personal information, device identifier or anonymous account identifier is included
- The generated sentences are stored in our database (Google Cloud Firestore) so that we can review and improve their quality. They are stored without any identifier of the user or device that requested them
Usage Limits
To keep the online features available to everyone, we count how many example-sentence and pronunciation requests each anonymous identifier makes per day. These counters are stored in Google Cloud Firestore and are deleted automatically after about two days.
Text-to-Speech
When you use the pronunciation feature while online, the Italian text to be spoken is sent to our Firebase Cloud Function, which uses Google Cloud Text-to-Speech to generate the audio. The audio is kept temporarily in the app's cache on your device so that it can be replayed; we do not store the text or the audio on our servers. No personal information is transmitted with these requests.
If you are offline, or the online service is unavailable, the app uses the text-to-speech engine installed on your device instead, and nothing is sent to us.
Google Play Billing and Google Sign-In
Premium subscriptions are purchased through Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Google; we never receive or store your payment details. When you subscribe, the app may ask you to choose a Google account. That account information stays on your device and is not sent to our servers.
How We Use Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide and maintain our app's functionality
- Display advertisements (free version)
- Generate AI-powered example sentences
- Provide text-to-speech pronunciation
- Prevent abuse of our online features
- Understand app usage patterns to improve features
- Diagnose technical issues and improve performance
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with:
- Google: Through AdMob, the User Messaging Platform, Firebase (Analytics, Authentication, App Check, Remote Config, Cloud Functions, Cloud Firestore), Google Cloud Text-to-Speech and Google Play services as described above
- AI providers (OpenAI, Google or Anthropic): Only the verb information needed to generate example sentences, as described above
- Law enforcement: If required by law or to protect our rights
Your Choices
Advertising
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland you can change your consent choice at any time from Settings → Privacy options in the app
- On any device you can opt out of personalized advertising, or reset or delete your advertising ID, in your device settings
- Premium subscribers do not see advertisements
Analytics
- Firebase Analytics respects device-level privacy settings
Local Data
- You can clear app data through your device settings at any time. This also discards the anonymous identifier described above
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, or to object to its processing. Because we do not hold data that identifies you, most requests are best handled through the choices above, but you can contact us at the address below and we will help where we can.
Data Retention
- Local preferences are stored until you uninstall the app or clear app data
- Usage-limit counters are deleted automatically after about two days
- Generated example sentences are kept indefinitely; they contain no user information
- Third-party services retain data according to their own privacy policies
Children's Privacy
Tutti I Verbi is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. Local data is stored using Android's secure storage mechanisms.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and by updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
